Name for Norm
Charla's dark bay daughter Charla's Norm by Washington Champion Name for Norm by Jazzing Around, is line-bred to Stop The Music, sire of both Temperence Hill and Jazzing Around. After racing and winning at Emerald Downs for Pete Axmaker, Charla's Norm recently moved to West Virginia to join her half brother Charlie Haan at Mountaineer Park. After only a short time there, she already won her first race for her new owner and trainer and was retired as a broodmare the following spring.
Charla's Norm Cantilator
On 3/19/2002, Charla foaled the tall and big boned bay colt Cantilator by the Storm Cat stallion Delineator, who also sired her stakes winning half brother Cantil. Cantilator already placed as a two and three year old, beating future stakes winners. Meanwhile retired from racing and owned by Mellisa from Aiken,SC he has turned into an incredibly talented event horse already competing at the Advanced level in 2010. Read more about him on Delineator's page or join his fan club on Facebook.
On youtube, you can watch him and Mellisa as the "Ride of the Day" at 2010 Virginia Horse Trials
Charlie the Cat
In the early morning hours of 3/21/2005, Charla had another flashy colt by Delineator, Charlie the Cat . Charlie was sold to a TB trainer in CA, and up training at Golden Gate Fields in the spring of 2007. After two less than stellar starts as a race horse, Charlie joined his full brother Cantilator in Mellisa Warden's eventing barn and he already competed with great success up to training level.
Charla has been sold to a fellow Thoroughbred breeder here in Yakima and we hope to see many more of her children win at the track. In 2006, she had another outstanding bay colt by Delineator , a carbon copy to his full brother Cantilator and named Charcat.
